Welcome to Our Heritage Pages

This site covers published material detailing the history and growth of Addiscombe a parish in Croydon, South London, England, and the articles encompassing the surrounding area.

The first of the Books of Addiscombe was published in 2000 and contains a large number of historic images, stories and articles written by local people about their experiences and the growth of the town. The second book followed in 2002 and featured prominent people who contributed to the history and development of the area.

An image gallery showing some of the images in the book is available from our sample images page. Please note that the copyright for images contained in the book are held by various contributors. They must not be downloaded or published without written authorization from the copyright holder. Authorization may be obtained via the Canning and Clyde Residents Association contact details are on the Associations Web site at www.addiscombe.net.

Future Publications

There are currently no plans for a third book. But stories and contributions are always welcome, and may be featured on this web site or on resident association web sites link to www.addiscombe.net.
